YOU'RE THE MAN - Reality TV show for FHI (HIV prevention)

We make drama, factual programming and spots aimed at engaging viewers, inspiring them, making them think and empowering them to make informed decisions.

The media is extremely powerful. Our special interest is in using that power to convey responsible messages in culturally appropriate, appealing formats so that our audiences will be subtly influenced to "buy in" to the new behaviours and attitudes we are encouraging. Change doesn't happen overnight, but it has to start somewhere....

SHOW, DON'T TELL

People learn far more from stories they can personally relate to than by simply being told what to do. Screen stories are particularly effective in rural areas where there are often low literacy levels.

Through real and imagined stories we explore the consequences of action (or inaction) and demonstrate available options, best-practice techniques and coping strategies. By tackling complex human issues in innovative, entertaining formats our programmes sow the seeds for behavioural and attitudinal change.

Our audiences

WHO'S WATCHING?

Our broadcast quality productions are for use in training, education & outreach as well as for television transmission. Even when aimed at specific audiences (e.g. police officers or health workers) our programmes have wide appeal.

People in developing countries are thirsty for knowledge. Broadcasters acknowledge this and are often willing to provide free air time for quality educational programming.

THE WAY WE WORK

We work closely with NGOs/donors, expert advisors and at ministerial and "street" levels to ensure the cultural sensitivity and relevance of our output. In collaboration with our associates at CADE Advertising we develop integrated, complementary media modules - incorporating print materials, radio and new media – to maximise campaign impact.

AHEAD OF THE CURVE

Our expertise covers a diverse range of subjects including HIV & AIDS, mental health, domestic violence, drug & alcohol problems, road safety, maternal/child health, family planning and human trafficking.

Our experience in these arenas combines with our understanding of local culture and social issues to enable us not just to respond to existing campaigns but also to create original programmes that go to the very heart of the vital social issues we believe need addressing. If you're already wondering how best to communicate your message, we may have just the idea you're looking for.
