CREATIVE TEAM

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Anji Loman Field worked as researcher/producer of current affairs programmes, documentaries and training films before studying for an MA in Screenwriting and Research at  the London Institute. She then switched to writing drama and comedy for TV, film and radio.

Anji wrote extensively for German and British markets and became a regular writer for BBC1's popular drama series EastEnders, Holby City and Doctors before arriving in Cambodia in March 2005 to write 40 episodes of Taste of Life  - a highly successful HIV & AIDS/Maternal Child Health awareness TV drama series  - for the BBC World Service Trust.

She has since written and/or produced many health/education drama projects in Cambodia and Vietnam, and for Myanmar and the UK. Her clients include BBC World Service Trust and Khmer Mekong Films, working on various projects funded by DFID, ILO, UNDP, NEC, FHI, ADB, The Asia Foundation and GTZ.

Anji has established an unrivalled reputation as a specialist in the field of Behaviour Change Communications and is a passionate believer in the power of drama and documentary for promoting social change.

PRODUCER

Jo Clifford  is General Manager and Creative Director of Cade Advertising in Phnom Penh. Her years of experience working in the creative industry in England and Cambodia have given her a unique set of skills that are highly valued by her colleagues and clients alike.

Jo's company has recently worked with Family Health International (FHI) on the development and implementation of a targeted multi-media campaign to reach discreet men who have sex with men (MSM) in Phnom Penh. Cade was tasked with developing a strategy and range of communication tools to improve the knowledge of sexual health issues and risk factors, improve behaviour and foster a sense of responsibility/belonging among MSMs in Phnom Penh. The project has been enormously successful and Jo is currently working with FHI to continue a Phase 2 rollout of the campaign with road shows in key provincial towns

Jo has more than 8 years' creative design experience in London, with a further 4 years in studio management positions for major multinational companies. She's worked in Cambodia for more than seven years – please see CADE Advertising page for details - and speaks good Khmer. She is a consummate professional with clear dedication and integrity.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

As Operations Manager for IDP Sophea Pheng is responsible for project coordination and administration, but he's also our resident interviewer for documentaries and vox pops. Sophea has worked as a  part-time fixer and translator for BBC news reporter Guy De Launey (Phnom Penh) and also as story advisor (with Anji Loman Field) on various TV dramas. He has an innate understanding of the ideas behind broadcast journalism and storytelling and is a very useful source of information about contemporary Cambodia.

Sophea has also been a programme contributor, recording a travelogue of his journey home to Kandal province for the Pchum Ben festival for BBC World Service, as well as providing the English translations for Cambodian interviewees in news items and features.
